Carol Power - Jazz Stylist will be at the Aratapu Tavern, between Dargaville and Te Kopuru, on Friday 23rd December 2011 commencing at 7:30pm accompanied by Julian Russell on piano, Don Hales on drums & Joe Carbery on saxophones.
Following her appearance at the Tauranga Jazz Club in October this critique was published:

Jazz in the Vines. Marsden Estate Winery, Wiroa Road, Kerikeri. This popular happening has become an annual event and takes place this year on Saturday 31st December 2011. Three bands - the Carol Power Quartet, the Buddhapest Swing Quartet and the Joe Carbery Swingtet will play from 11am until 4:30pm.

Texas Swing Party at the Aratapu Tavern on Friday 6th January 2012 featuring music in the great tradition of Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys and carried on by Asleep at the Wheel, with Terry Toohill on fiddle and other string instruments, Chris Davidson on guitar, Carol Power on vocals, Julian Russell on piano, Naomi Chitty on bass, Don Hales on drums & Joe Carbery on saxophones.
